Ayurvedic Weight Loss Remedies with Ginger
Step 1
Drink ginger tea two to three times a day to help increase digestion. Ayurvedic medicine refers to increasing digestion as part of a remedy for obesity as "enhancing digestive fires."

Chew on a slice of ginger root a few minutes before each meal. Alternatively, mix a small amount of grated ginger root with lemon juice and salt. Eat two pinches of the mixture before each meal. How to Make Ginger Tea
Step 1Grate 1-1/2 teaspoons of fresh ginger root into a 2-cup glass measuring cup. Use one tablespoon of ginger if you prefer a mild tea flavor, or if you are using a smaller teacup.
Step 2
Add boiling water to the 1-1/2-cup line on the measuring cup. Allow the ginger to steep in the hot water for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Strain the ginger tea from the measuring cup into a tea mug or tea cup.
Step 4
Sweeten the ginger tea with 1 to 2 tsps. of honey, according to your tastes. A dash of lemon juice will also add flavor to the ginger tea.
